As the lives of people in today’s world get more hectic and vulnerable to stress and illness, the spa and wellness industries have grown high in demand. More and more people are willing to spend exorbitant amounts of money for natural healing, relaxation treatments and beauty treatments. Spa and wellness have also become major components of the global tourism industry. Every country has its own, unique healing treatments that have been passed down for generations. Today however, most spas use an integrated approach to spa treatments, providing both Eastern and Western techniques that combine natural ingredients and modern technology. The Wellness Summit was established to create a global platform that will bring spa therapists, experts, medical practitioners and entrepreneurs from all parts of the world together.

Founded in 2005, the International Wellness Summit is an annual event that draws hundreds of spa experts to interact and exchange ideas for the development of the global spa industry. Its vision is to aid the growth of the wellness and spa industry and help it flourish by integrating the best methods. While leading speakers and industry experts attend this festival to discuss the current issues of the industry as well as its future, groundbreaking ideas are shared and developed, products are introduced and partnerships are developed at this conference.

The Wellness Summit is to be held this year from the 12th-14th of October (2011) at Temasek Polytechnic, Singapore.
